Description
This beauty is Salpiglossis or Painted Tongue or Trumpet. It is one of my favorite summer flowers. It comes in a variety of colors and the hummingbirds like it. I usually need to grow my own from seed. It not commonly found in garden centers.
Salpiglossis is a genus of the botanical family Solanaceae. Salpiglossis derives from the Greek for "trumpet" and "tongue". This ornamental plant is prettily veined and produces funnel-shaped flowers. The plant grows to an average height of 75 cm. Wikipedia
