I believe this is a Vesper Sparrow. The most important thing is that it has caught a grasshopper. The grasshopper population has been very healthy the past couple of years! So this little bird is a great friend of mine for eating grasshoppers in my Colorado yard!
The vesper sparrow is a medium-sized American sparrow. It is the only member of the genus Pooecetes. Adults have light brown upperparts and light underparts, both with darker streaking. Wikipedia
