This pair of Belgian draft horses pulls a wagon full of hand cut wheat to line up with a vintage threshing machine. The wheat will be pitchforked into the threshing machine. The machine separates the stem from the grain. This image was captured during a wheat threshing demonstration in Elbert, Colorado in late summer.
A threshing machine or a thresher is a piece of farm equipment that threshes grain, that is, it removes the seeds from the stalks and husks. It does so by beating the plant to make the seeds fall out. Wikipedia
